NTSB report rules pilot at fault

The Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke said Hickin died from blunt head, face, chest and abdominal injuries. Thermal injuries also were listed.

A toxicological report from the Federal Aviation Administration Toxicology Accident Research Laboratory in Oklahoma City said Hickin tested negative for drugs and alcohol.

The flight originated from Waynesboro's Eagle's Nest Airport. The NTSB said the weather was clear at the time of the crash and that Hickin was flying under Visual Flight Rules flying by sight rather than aided by instruments.

Hickin, who was married with five children at the time of his death, was employed as a pilot with Gemini Air Cargo.

Everton 0-0 Tottenham: Drab affair at Goodison

With Liverpool losing at West Ham, Everton could have been sitting pretty in fourth spot in the Barclays Premier League table, five points ahead of their troubled city rivals.

But in the end Everton had to settle for just one point and a lead of three over the Anfield side in the table.

Tottenham had the outstanding Jonathan Woodgate making his debut and the north Londoners - who can only qualify realistically for Europe by winning the Carling Cup - were able to almost cruise to a point.

- Ramos purrs over Woodgate

Everton needed to take command, but never did - with a wasted 10-yard effort from Andrew Johnson their best chance.

Woodgate took the place of suspended Michael Dawson for the visitors, with Wales international Chris Gunter also making his full Premier League debut and Pascal Chimbonda returning after a one-match ban.

Alonso's homecoming falls flat as Ferrari dominates first winter ...

The session didn't finish on a high note for the two-time F1 champion, either, with Alonso's car stalling on the straightaway as he rounded for his final lap, smoke billowing from its engine.

Instead, Ferrari dominated to show why it is still the team to beat heading into the new season.

Felipe Massa finished with the fastest time of 1 minute, 12.182 seconds from 97 laps around the 4.005-kilometer (2.49-mile) Cheste Circuit track.

Auction kicks off with Robosaurus

PHOENIX, Ariz . -- Why, you have to wonder, would someone who cherishes vintage automobiles want to buy something designed to tear those vehicles into smoldering shreds?

We have to ask because right there among the classics and concepts being auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson Car Collector Auction next week is Robosaurus, a 40-foot tall, 31-ton, fire-breathing mechanical monster that has been ripping cars to pieces for nearly two decades.

Billed as "The World's First CAR-nivorous Monster," Robosaurus's car-crushing show has been an attraction at fairgrounds, racetracks and other venues throughout North America and has made several trips overseas.

In addition, MBIA will split its municipal bond business from its structured finance business within five years.

World Superstars Boost Sofia Property Prices

Obelisk says Sofia property investments are attracting the attention of Hollywood celebrities and pop icons, prompting the emergence of a new luxury market. Cheap holidays, cheap skiing, cheap flights, cheap food and drink, and of course cheap property - ‘Cheap' has been the main attraction for British investors buying into Bulgaria. However, big changes are in the air with an increasing number of foreign investors and Hollywood A-listers buying up the more exclusive high-end property. Antonio Banderas, who already owns property in Spain, is amongst "Hollywood royalty" spending many months in the capital filming The Code, due for release this year, along with Morgan Freeman who has revealed his interest in purchasing a block of executive apartments in Sofia. The newly renovated film studio in Sofia has created a house-hunting frenzy from top filmmakers and celebrities.

TUESDAY CLOCKWATCH

2012: Sagna puts a dangerous ball into Newcastle's six-yard box but Stephen Carr is there to avert the danger from under his own bar.

2011: Owen is caught offside - just - after a lovely jinking run and throughball from Milner.

2009: Just as I type Arsenal nearly score - and Shay Given is a lucky man. He collects what isn't a difficult looking backpass, but he gets it stuck under his feet and Adebayor nearly nicks it off him, but Given recovers just in time to backheel the ball out for a corner kick.

2008: It's been a fairly quiet opening at the Emirates with Arsenal doing little to hurt Newcastle - as yet.
