Matt Kenseth spoiled Jimmie Johnson's bid for his fifth consecutive victory, but the defending NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion rolled home seventh on Sunday to capture his second championship on a memorable day at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The race was also the last for one of NASCAR's grittiest competitors, Ricky Rudd, who had 906 starts in his career, including Sunday's race.

US performance line names Monaco distributor

California-based Fearless International said in a statement that it has appointed Spencer Ship in Monaco to establish a European dealer network. The agreement provides Spencer Ship with the rights to offer Fearless Yachts' line of performance boats within Europe. Spencer will also exhibit and promote the brand at European boat shows as well as provide service and warranty support in the region.

"Securing a strong European partner is an important step in expanding our geographic footprint," said Jeffrey Binder, Fearless CEO, in the statement. "As additional boats are brought to market, it is important that we have a strong dealership network in place. We are confident that this will be a successful collaboration."

Fearless said in the statement that is has obtained bridged financing for the company.

Dakar Rally canceled due to terror concerns; 1st time race called off ...

PARIS (AP) -The annual Dakar Rally was canceled Friday on the eve of the race because of terror threats and the recent slaying of a French family in Mauritania that was blamed on al-Qaida-linked militants.

France, where the race organizers are based, had urged the rally to avoid Mauritania after the family of four was slain in an attack blamed on a terror cell that uses the Mauritanian desert as a hide-out.
